Peter HappelChristian I was born and raised in Iowa. I never lived on a farm although at times I wish I had. I studied foundations at the University of Northern Iowa and eventually received a BFA in photography from the University of Iowa. From Iowa I moved to Eugene, Oregon where I received an MFA in photography from the University of Oregon. My interests in making art are focused on conceptual approaches to photography and the visual arts, literary theory and in particular, how photography can insert itself into many different modes of representation. Currently, I am teaching at the University of Arizona, Pima Community College and the Tucson Museum of Art School. I work out of a small studio that is painted blue and is situated in the backyard of my home in Tucson. resume statement contact website
