Installation work by Jesse Billimack
Jesse Billimack’s installations include a large-scale, mixed-media drawing directly on the wall depicting the Tucson City Map with all of the active Tucson Water well locations. There will also be a rammed earth sculpture that travels the length of the gallery. The path of the rammed earth piece represents the path of the Colorado River from Lake Havasu, AZ to the AZ/Mexico border @ Mexicali. Both pieces are grounded in the water issues surrounding Southern Arizona; our limited supply and our unlimited growth.
Jesse Billimack received his MFA from Rutgers University, and his BFA from the University of Arizona. His work has been exhibited in the University of Arizona Museum of Art, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Fort Collins, CO, nationally in New York City, New Jersey, and Arizona, and internationally in Mexico.!
