Plugged Video Collective is testament that small people can make big things happen. In a time where public space has become exceedingly corporatized and individual voices get easily drowned out by ipods, cell phones, and ratings from American Idol, this women’s grass roots organization was founded on the idea that many voices are stronger than one.
Founded in 2004, Plugged was built upon the desire to support, promote, and expose art that is free, thought provoking, stimulating, and unsettling. Why? Exactly. Traditionally experimental artwork without a price tag is reserved for larger cities. Our mission as a group is to provide the community of Tucson with humor, questions, thoughts and boundary-crossing artwork.
We would like to thank you for coming out to support the arts, without you there would be no point.
Sponsored in part by: Dinnerware Contemporary Arts, Tucson Arts Coalition, Tucson Pima Arts Council
