"Systemic":
Works by Charles Alex, Joshua Aster and Ail Schmeltz
Charles Alex's large-scale wood and aluminum sculptures reference the changing nature of personal experience, the power outside forces have to rearrange individual perception and circumstance. Joshua Aster's ink on linen paintings are inspired by his personal experience of space and industrial architecture and are concerned with the vulnerability of construction. Aili Schmeltz's mixed-media installations respond to issues related to consumption, convenience and comfort of the average American; how our everyday actions affect the larger community and the global environment.
